Cyprus is a small island in the middle of the mediterranean sea. It is a divided country with the Greek Cypriots living in the south of the country and the Turkish Cypriots living in the north. The south is supposed to be the "free" part and the north "occupied". I live/work in Limassol, one of the coastal cities in the southern part. I have travelled extensively within Cyprus for the past 4.5 yrs i have been here and I guess, that should explain why Cyprus is featured separately and not within the travel section.
If you are interested in knowing about the history, geography or economy of Cyprus, you are looking at the wrong site. Probably, a google search would get you tons of information. Here, you would find lots of information about the hidden beauty of Cyprus, places which would not find a mention in most guide books and even the GOD, google doesnt return any links. All this information and all the photos are from my personal travels within this island.
The places to visit are classified according to their accessibility from the various cities in Cyprus (actually only 4). Troodos and its surroundings merit a separate category. There is also a separate section for treks/walks. I have been a few times to the occupied north, so I am including that too. The pages would be extensively cross-linked, so ultimately you would get the information you are after :-). Btw, the shapes of the links below are random!
If you had noticed, none of the above links would have worked, because I am yet to write content for these. Slowly, but surely, I shall update all the pages. Until then, I am posting direct links below to some places/activities in Cyprus.
